We have a app called Next Door which is a social media app designed to keep you connected with your neighbors in your local or surrounding area.

Lately I have noticed a tremendous number of posts where people are struggling financially being short on funds due to an unforeseen accident or occurrence. I know I preach this on a regular basis but this brings to mind the need for an emergency fund. So many headaches and heartaches can be avoided with a proper emergency fund.

Start off with $500 to $1000 just for smaller emergencies then as you plan out your finances you need to work up to 3-6 moths of your income to cover bigger occurrences.

From car repair bills to home repair bills and even medical bills you need money set aside to cover life’s surprises you can keep these funds in a high yield savings account so you can still earn interest yet withdraw the funds in an emergency

As I always say if an emergency happens money should be the least of your worries.
